What is Gamma-Linolenic Acid?
Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) is an essential omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid. Our bodies need these essential fatty acids but are unable to produce them. Thus, it is ‘essential’ for us to consume GLA through dietary sources.

Gamma-Linolenic acid is normally used by the body to make important hormone-like substances called prostaglandins.
Prostaglandins are involved in many biochemical and metabolic processes in the body.
Examples include supporting the immune system, control of inflammatory responses and maintenance of healthy circulation.

Two natural sources with a high concentration of Gamma-Linolenic Acid

Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil are two proven sources which are naturally rich in GLA.
Compared to Evening Primrose Oil, both Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil contain a much higher concentration of GLA.

Natural Black Currant Seed Oil contains 15% Gamma-Linolenic Acid, while Natural Borage Seed Oil contains 22% Gamma-Linolenic Acid – a much higher concentration than what you get from Evening Primrose Oil (about 8%-10% Gamma-Linolenic Acid).

Therefore, Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil allows us to consume fewer capsules to achieve the required dosage, making them the excellent and economical sources of Gamma-Linolenic Acid.
Both our sources of Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil are pesticide-free.

Product Description
Supports natural resistance and promotes circulatory health
Both Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil support our body’s natural resistance, through regulation of our body’s immune response.
It also is beneficial in the prevention of certain allergies.

The Gamma-Linolenic Acid in Borage Seed Oil and Black Currant Seed Oil have strong anti-inflammatory properties.
This facilities improved blood flow and promotes circulatory health.
Relieves discomfort associated with women’s monthly cycles
Even during or just when a women’s monthly cycle draws near, some women face concerns of menstrual irregularity, cramps, mood swings, tender breasts and feelings of bloatedness.

Supplementing with Gamma-Linolenic Acid can help alleviate the discomfort associated with the above common pre-menstrual symptoms.
For example, it helps to reduce water retention, alleviating water retention some women may experience at their abdominal area 5-7 days before their menstrual cycle begins.

In addition, Gamma-Linolenic Acid can aid in easing the symptoms associated with menopause such as hot flashes and night sweats.

Promotes better skin, healthier hair and stronger nails
Dry skin, frizzy hair ends and cracked nails could be signs of Gamma-Linolenic Acid deficiency. As an Omega-6 fatty acid, GLA coats your skin, hair and nails, promoting their healthy growth.
Its anti-inflammatory properties make it especially beneficial for improving various skin conditions, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis
